Ojo: The "Cholo Word Of The Day" is simply for fun. This is not an academic exercise, therefore I do not spend much time checking for espelling or grammatical errors. Most of the words are not only used by "cholos," but by many people in S. Texas - and their usage can vary. c/s

Geraldo Yells at Bill O'Reilly

This video of Geraldo Yelling at Bill O'Reilly is the best thing I've seen in a long time. It might even inspire a comeback from this Daily Texican.

I think Geraldo has a solid point. If we accept the cause and effect argument that O'Reilly was trying to make then we have to assume that if you cross the border, you are automatically placed in the category of drunk driving alcoholics. Never mind the fact that 3 out of 4 scientists are immigrants.

Vaya! Very entertaining. I was actually surprised to see more than one point of view in a discussion between two FOX commentators. But seriously, I’m tired of people like O’Reilly spreading messages of intolerance. That is so last century.

Slightly off-topic, but I wonder what Los Abogados would say to either Bill or Geraldo:

Hello Texican, Geraldo clearly had the better argument.
My name is Joel Rios and for the last 6 years I have been writing a book labled, 'Disposable Hispanic America' for the very reason that our culture has been treated as such. Keep up the great work!

Geraldo has an excellent point. People are people no matter what their nationality, and every death due to drunk driving is tragic. It sickens me that certain people will make an issue of immigration out of such a tragedy. Check out http://urlbrief.com/b27f81 for a good satire. Everyone's allowed except immigration

Hi! I'm not hispanic but I have to comment that this so called "conservative" television, especially Fox News, spreads Racism. I work at Diebold in North Canton, Ohio. During the Latin Boycot/Marches in 2006, racist employees at Diebold started laughing and taunting hispanics that work at the company. One of these individuals is "Roy Thomason," he also goes by "Arthur." I have no problem mentioning his name because he had no problem picking on the hispanics he works with. But this man was inspired to spread his anti-hispanic hatred at Diebold. What is even worse, is he still works there. But all of this was provoked when he and his nut-job coworkers were watching FOX news. I saw the whole episode and turned him in. I was appauled that he was not terminated. Shame on you Roy and Shame on Diebold!

Wow. Great to see that clip. Geraldo made some valid points. Sad to see that the real issue, drunk driving, is made to look as an immigration problem when it affects all people
